As the franchise's third instalment, it builds on the formula in clever, compelling ways. It's a well-known fact that Star Trek redshirts are doomed, but they're your only chance of survival in The Captain is Dead: Dangerous Planet. And because teamwork is your only hope of winning, it's a fun Catch 22 to wrestle with.
